Help with CBT

       Learn how to help yourself

Welcome to my website!

My name is Fay Kalapoda and I am an accredited CBT therapist

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that has been proved to effectively treat a wide range of emotional issues.

During this type of therapy you will learn to change your unhelpful feelings and behaviours through exploring your current thinking about past, present or future life events. Rather than focusing on what is outside your control you will learn valuable tools and techniques on how to help yourself by changing what is within your control.

I wholeheartedly believe that change can be achieved. Sometimes, as people we may not be equipped with the right 'tools' to make that change happen. In such occasion, it is important to seek support/advice from a professional. This decision can be a difficult one to make but it can also be life-changing.

My goal as a therapist is for you to leave therapy having a new-found confidence, knowing how to help yourself in the future and cope effectively with whatever life throws at you.

Types of issues I can help with

- Anxiety & stress

- Lack of confidence and low self esteem

- Phobias and panic attacks

- Obsessive-Compulsive and related disorders

- Lack of assertiveness

- Low mood, lack of motivation, depression

- Social anxiety
